Anne Milton - Guildford MP (and Dipstick)

I wish to formally distance myself from the suggestion that Anne Milton resembles Julian Clary (especially now that the two have met and Julian has wisely decided to run very fast in the opposite direction).

Truth be told, Anne Milton bears a much closer resemblance to Lauren Harries.

OK, I know what you're thinking; first I compare her to a transvestite, now a transsexual... but just take a look for yourselves before you scream the word 'homophobe':

Spotted in Today's Times (20 May 2005): Anne Milton, the new Tory MP for Guildford, has been subjected in Private Eye to unflattering comparisons with the camp comic Julian Clary. Imagine Milton's surprise when she opened her post yesterday to find a signed copy of Clary's book, A Young Man's Passage, complete with a charming message from the author. Whether she reads it is another matter.

Guido's got a point here; there is more than a passing resemblance... but 'hate' site?



In the comments, new blogger Patsy seems to agree and says that this puts to bed the notion that Lib Dems are "nice" people. The only problem with this assertion is that I'm a *very* nice person. And not a Lib-Dem.

Now... Anne... this is twice now that you've promised to get back to me about issues I've raised about your campaign and failed to do so. I may not hate you, but I'm developing a growing dislike for your attitude...
