Iain Dale has banned me from his website - the gutless hypocrite!
Yes, it's true. And you can read all about it here.
This ban follows Iain's announcement that he would not be answering any of my emails... ever.
Keep a sharp eye out for a brand new weblog that's all about Iain Dale, Westminster's favourite blogging 'expert'... building starts today.

firstly, guido's turned comment moderation off now. I assume you will do the same.
secondly, I can't say I blame Iain. Your beef with him does seem rather blown out of proportion. I know you hate Tories, and your jealous that he's a successful blogger (and worse, a Tory) and you're not, but it doesn't really justify this.
And you are...?
I am a commenter on your website. I have no blog. You do not know me.
Talk about not getting it.
Oh, I think they get it just fine. Comments like this are a deliberate attempt to misinform. Iain the far more successful blogger, Iain the victim... it may as well be from his PR department.

Oh. Now I get it. That's what Precious Iain meant when he wrote:
You're banned from this blog now. We're tired of your moronic meanderings. ~ Precious Iain Dale
It all makes sense now; that line has been bothering me for some time.
Well, it could be the royal 'we'... one learns to expect it from one's betters.
Is that how they speak up at the big house?
Bugger me. It's a different world, isn't it?
I'd never even heard of Iain Dale before yesterday, as I've been blogging mainly in Welsh and Spanish until I started an English language political blog last month. To be honest the first thing I thought when I saw his blog was "what a ponce", but then after actually reading his posts I realised that he is in reality a vacuous Tory spinmerchant. But that's just my view. Anyway, interesting hearing about the anonygoon tactics. Ive recently come across some myself (it doesnt happen in the Rhithfro -that's the Welsh language online community). I find the self-importance behind such stratagems immensely amusing. Ive enjoyed reading your blog and will certainly call again.
Hey sanddef - thanks for dropping by.
I'll check out your "English language political blog," but alas, I think I'll be giving the Welsh language one a miss. No disrespect, it's more a case of my own linguistic shortcomings. ;o)
Nice one. It's the one called "Ordovicius" though.
;-)
I think this is the top story on Tailrank just now.
