    Yes, rather convenient timing. A distraction for some. I missed the opening ceremony. And blogged this instead "Conker championships blighted by tree sickness"…I did note that I had my first visitor from Beijing yesterday since the Great Firewall of China went up.

    To be fair, apart from GB gold medals the newspapers are running this story across their front pages. George Bush even said something I agree with.
