After I blogged that I’d been passed straight over to Emap’s lawyers, I called those lawyers (Wiggin) and was informed that I was, in fact, to expect an email from the picture editor for Zoo Weekly (i.e. the individual I had initially contacted).

That email just arrived.

Emap have:

– Apologised for using my image without permission

– Assured me that, in future, they will only include material where they have consent in advance

– Offered to pay the invoice

I may be expanding on this early next week, but for now, that’s the situation in a nutshell.
