Watch the publisher of Total Politics show you his understanding of what ‘fair and balanced’ means here and here.
Fans of Iain Dale will recognise the ‘baying mob’ line from his reaction to the Conway affair (summed up marvellously here, by Garry).
You may also note that, suddenly, Iain isn’t as quietly appreciative of anonymous comments as he usually is. Still, I suppose he feels that he should be suspicious of something. Otherwise people might get the idea that he’s slacking.

I don’t see what she’s done wrong. Her nanny has admitted doing secretarial work, for which she was paid out of parliamentary allowances, and the nanny also provided childcare which was done in return for board and lodging.Doesn’t sound particularly crooked to me, unlike the Conservative MEPs in the papers over the past few days.

LFAT, this post isn't about Spelman, but about how the story has been treated by Dale.

Iain chose not to comment on Derek Conway because they are friends – his decision, doesn't bother me at all.His defence of Caroline Spelman was obviously a very different situation as they don't really know each other, but I still completely agree with him that this particular story has been blown out of all proportion.

*sigh*LFAT, please read the post, follow the links and have a close look at Garry's take on the Conway matter, particularly with regards to Iain's use of the term 'baying mob'.
